Create Dunwoody’s Storefront Art and Doorwoody Exhibits bring student creativity into the community by transforming local businesses and public spaces into showcases for art. Featuring artwork created by Dunwoody High School students, these projects highlight young artists while encouraging residents and visitors to explore shops, restaurants, and community spaces throughout Greater Dunwoody Village.


Together, these exhibits create a self-guided art experience where visitors can discover unique artwork while experiencing all that Dunwoody Village has to offer. Through partnerships with local businesses and organizations like the Dunwoody Team of Leadership Perimeter, Create Dunwoody brings art into unexpected places and strengthens the connection between creativity, community, and local businesses.

The Soccer Ball Art Exhibit combines art, community participation, and the energy of summer soccer by showcasing decorated soccer balls at local businesses and watch parties throughout Dunwoody. Hands-on workshops throughout the city are open to community participants, and are great for family-friendly fun this summer. Selected soccer balls will be featured on walls displayed at Politan Row, Big Play, and CT Cantina and Taqueria . Entries will be judged by both community voting and a panel of judges, with prizes and recognition awarded to winning artists. The project was inspired by the global excitement surrounding soccer this summer and provides residents with a fun way to connect with neighbors and local businesses and celebrate the season.

The America 250 Community Puzzle Project invites residents and visitors to slow down and connect while completing collaborative puzzles at local businesses and community spaces. The project creates opportunities for families, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and new acquaintances to gather around a shared activity while celebrating community. Each puzzle features a map of the Greater Dunwoody Village area with a patriotic design celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Participating businesses throughout the community host the puzzles, giving visitors an interactive activity to enjoy while visiting local restaurants, offices, and gathering spaces. Designed to be accessible for everyone, the project requires no registration and allows participants to contribute whenever participating locations are open. Puzzles have also been donated to senior living communities, expanding opportunities for connection across generations. Through creativity and collaboration, the America 250 Community Puzzle Project brings people together while celebrating Dunwoody’s community spirit.

Create Dunwoody’s Latino Hispanic Cultural Heritage Celebration is one of the many cultural events in Dunwoody that brings the community together through music, performances, food, and interactive experiences. As a Latino cultural celebration in Dunwoody, the event highlights the rich traditions and cultures of the Latino and Hispanic communities while creating opportunities for connection, learning, and celebration. The sixth annual celebration will take place on Sunday, September 13 at Ashford Lane Lawn, making it a must-attend event for those looking for Hispanic Heritage Month events in Dunwoody. This year’s celebration will feature exciting new experiences, including a Traditional Attire Fashion Show and passport challenge. Attendees can also enjoy face painting, free Latino dance lessons, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu demonstrations, and a variety of live performances showcasing culture, music, and community talent. The event welcomes all ages and invites everyone to celebrate, connect, and experience the diversity that makes Dunwoody unique.
